An image from the annual bison roundup at Antelope Island State Park in Northern Utah. At the end of each October cowboys from across the globe come together to round up close to 800 bison. The bison are driven from the south end of the island to the north. Once they are rounded up in the corrals, the bison are assessed, given immunizations (if needed), and sorted. Since they roam on Utah State Park land, if the bison count exceeds the (food) resources available on the island, the excess are sold at auction.
